SKIN CARE

SKIN CARE
Short chapter from my book, How to become a model: The 14 MUST KNOW secrets to becoming a professional model) Skin care in my opinion should be simple! You shouldn't need fancy 3 step processes that cost you hundreds of dollars to use. I have used every possible acne treatment out there and had little results

Sometimes they may work for a while and then they stop. Another common side effect is that your skin will be so dried out that your whole face will look white.

Ihave made a list of tips which are from skin care professionals. Sometimes though keeping your skin clean is not enough. You may have to go to your doctor to fix the problem like I did.

Now I don't claim to be a skin care professional, but I can tell you what has worked for me.

Skin care tips

-Don't squeeze a pimple unless it is a full whitehead and is so gross that you can't bear to look at it.

-Have you ever had a pimple that you thought looked pretty bad! Then you decided to squeeze it thinking that you will make it better? And after you squeezed it it looked 10 times as noticeable and gross  as before! JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE! Most of them will go away!

-If you sweat then clean your skin afterwards. Even if all you have is water.

- Wash your skin with a non medicated and non scented soap at least 2 times per day (morning and night).

-Drink at least 8-12 glasses of water per day. This will help keep your skin clean and healthy.

-Don't use a lot of moisturizer. Just a tiny amount about the size of a pea or smaller. Use a non scented moisturizer. One with vitamin E is a good choice.

-If you have tried all this before then your acne probably will only be solved by antibiotics. Go to your doctor and find out what is the best option for you.

Don't be embarrassed!

My brother and I both did everything the same with our skin. I actually took care of mine better and still do, yet his was perfect and mine wasn't. It got so irritating that I finally went to the doctor. He new exactly what to do. He gave me a prescription and that was it. The first one didn't react well with me. So he gave me a different one and it worked fine.

Don't be shy! Go to your doctor and get more information. Your skin needs to be clear for modeling. Make up can cover some, but not all acne.
